Sadder than the Sad Mac
Recently, something really strange happened to my dock: After suddenly becoming completely unresponsive (which is, unfortunately, not that unusual), the Finder icon miraculously travelled off the dock in a slow, but fluid animation, stopping approximately 2 centimeters to the left of it. Here’s the screenshot.

I have no idea how why the Pukka icon suddenly moved to the right of the trash can either. Fortunately, killing the dock fixed these issues quickly.
But doesn’t the little Finder face look incredibly sad, this puny little icon being so harshly expelled from the dock where it usually lives. If you look at the screenshot for a while, the Finder’s eternal smile almost seems to be turning into a desperate, unbelieving frown, like a dog after being hit over the head with a newspaper. Really, I’m still having a strange feeling of compassion for the poor Finder, despite all the trouble we’ve had in the past. I hope it’ll keep its cosy home in the dock from now on…
And yes, I hereby admit that I use the world’s most annoying dock style: Really small with a lot of magnification…

I totally had that happen once and I saved a screenshot of it that I just put up here.
Funny to see that you’ve been bitten by the same bug. It’s only happened to me once yet, so I thought it must have been a rather rare issue. I wonder how many other people have seen the runaway-Finder…
What? Tiny dock with massive magnification is the best style period!
Who are you telling this, I *love* my dock this way, too, but everybody that sees it usually reacts in a disgusted, almost offended way… Ah, I guess those people just don’t have taste!
